I started French Immersion in Grade 6, completed High School with a French Immersion Proficiency Certificate, and have continued to take French courses throughout my Post Secondary Education.
I understand the difficulty and frustration that can come with learning a second language but I also appreciate the benefits that are associated with this knowledge. I think that approaching French as a second language puts me in a position that allows me to truly relate with students because they are in the same position that I once was.
In 2012, I obtained intermediate plus on my New Brunswick French Oral Language Proficiency test.
While at St. Thomas University, I have taken the French Second Language methodology courses.
I have provided a sample of a French lesson plan below.
